The 'three Ressies', Entwhistle

Waterways and weaving feature on this wonderful walk along good tracks with short climbs at intervals. 600 feet of ascent in total.


Take your preffered route to the M61 and onto the A666 heading for Bolton. At the crossroads with the Ford garage on the left, take the rght turn signed A676 Ramsbottom. At next set of lights and 'T' junction turn left on A676 Ramsbottom. Continue until you pass Cannon Slade school on the left and shortly afterwards take the left fork onto Turton Road. Continue and turn right just under the railway bridge onto Chapeltown Road A6391. Continue and pass the King William pub and Turton Tower on the left take the sharp right hand bend and go straight ahead uphill onto High Street with St Annes church on your right. Look outfor a sign for a right turn into Batridge Road for Entwhistle reservoir. Turn right into Batridge Road and at the end of this road turn right into the car park.
